QuestionAnswer
What does it do?Your agent finds your most recently edited Google Doc, reads the full text and gives you five bullets.
Who is it for?Anyone catching up on a long document before a meeting.
What do I connect?Google Docs, once, with its own sign-in. ClawLink never sees your password.
What does it cost?About 2 tool calls on your plan. Starter includes 1,000 a month.
Does it work?googledocs_search_documents succeeded on 100.0% of 40 calls on ClawLink in the last 30 days.
Which agents?OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude, Codex, ChatGPT and any MCP client connected to ClawLink.

How do you try it?

  1. Set up ClawLink once. Add it to your agent from the install page, then connect Google Docs.
  2. Send this prompt to your agent. Click the card to copy it.

It works the same in OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude and Codex.

How does the agent do it?

The agent makes 2 calls through ClawLink. You do not pick the tools: the agent finds them by searching ClawLink, reads their input schema and runs them.

How often does this work on ClawLink?

We do not publish a sample run for this job: its output is somebody's own Google Docs. Instead, here is how the same tools performed for every ClawLink user from 2026-09-03 to 2026-10-03. A call counts as failed only when it reached Google Docs and came back with an error.

How do you write the prompt?

  • Name the doc if you know it. "The doc called Q4 plan" skips the guesswork.
  • Ask for decisions and open questions. Better than a generic summary for meeting prep.
  • Ask for quotes. "With the line you base each point on" lets you check the summary.

What can go wrong?

  • Very long docs. A 100-page doc is a lot of text for one reply. Ask for a section.
  • Comments are separate. Suggestions and comments are not in the document body.
  • Shared with you vs owned. "My most recent doc" may mean one shared with you. Say which.
