TL;DR
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What does it do? | Your agent calls one ClawLink tool, gets the videos TikTok is pushing right now in a country, and tells you what the top ones have in common: length, topic, sound and format. |
| Who is it for? | Creators, social media managers and marketers who plan content from what is working this week. |
| What do I connect? | Nothing. It reads public data with ClawLink's own provider. |
| What does it cost? | About $0.00282 of ClawLink credit per run. New accounts get $0.50 free. |
| Does it work? | Yes. We ran it on 2026-10-03; the results are below. |
| Which agents? | OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude, Codex, ChatGPT and any MCP client connected to ClawLink. |
How do you try it?
- Set up ClawLink once. Add it to your agent from the install page. This job needs no connected app.
- Send this prompt to your agent. Click the card to copy it.
It works the same in OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude and Codex.
How does the agent do it?
The agent makes one call through ClawLink. You do not pick the tools: the agent finds them by searching ClawLink, reads their input schema and runs them.
| Step | Tool | What it does | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | tiktokdata_trending_feed | Returns the videos trending now for a country, with plays, likes, shares and author. | $0.00282 |
What happened when we ran it?
We sent this job through ClawLink on 2026-10-03. These are the real calls and what came back, not an example.
| Call | Input and result | Time | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
tiktokdata_trending_feed | region US, 20 videos returned (19 unique) | 5.6 s | $0.00282 |
What the data showed:
- Every video was 39 seconds or shorter; most were 5 to 22 seconds.
- Scenery and travel had the biggest numbers: an Oregon waterfall walk had 13.48M plays and a Lake Louise clip had 10.56M.
- Three of the 19 were recipe videos with the full ingredient list in the caption.
- A Stray Kids clip had the most comments, 37,658.
- 9 of the 19 were posted in the last 7 days; 9 were more than 30 days old.
How do you write the prompt?
- Name the country. The trending feed is per country. Say "in the US" or "in Germany", or the agent picks one for you.
- Ask for the pattern, not the list. "What do the top 5 have in common" makes the agent compare length, topic and format instead of pasting 20 links.
- Ask for the links. Each video comes back with its URL, so you can say "include the video links" and open them straight away.
What can go wrong?
- "Trending" is not "posted today". In our run, 9 of the 19 videos were posted more than 30 days earlier. TikTok's feed ranks what is spreading now, whatever its age. Ask the agent to filter by posting date if you want new posts only.
- The feed mixes regions. We asked for the US and got videos tagged GB, ID, MX, CA, PL and KR too. Tell the agent to keep only your region if that matters.
- Duplicates happen. One Formula 1 video appeared twice in a single response. A good prompt says "remove duplicates".
How does this compare with other ways to do it?
| Option | How it works | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ClawLink + your agent | One prompt, the agent reads the feed and writes the summary | $0.00282 per run | A quick daily read inside the agent you already use |
| TikTok Creative Center | Browse trends by hand on TikTok's site | Free | Ads research and trending sounds |
| Scraper API (Apify, ScrapeCreators) | Your own account, key and code | Pay per request plus your time | Developers building their own pipeline |
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a TikTok account?
No. This job reads public TikTok data through ClawLink's own data provider, so there is nothing to connect. It runs on your ClawLink credit; every new account gets $0.50 of free credit on its first data call.
Which countries does it support?
Any country TikTok serves. The tool takes a two-letter country code such as US, GB or DE.
Can my agent post to TikTok too?
Not with this tool. It reads public data only. Posting needs your own TikTok account connected as the TikTok app.
How fresh is the data?
It is read live when the agent calls the tool. Our run took 5.6 seconds.
Can I run it every morning?
Yes. Ask your agent to schedule it, for example with an OpenClaw cron job. Each run costs $0.00282.
