TL;DR
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What does it do? | Your agent asks Google Search Console for your site's top 10 queries by clicks over the last 28 days and gives you a table with clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position. |
| Who is it for? | Site owners, SEOs and marketers who check search performance without opening Search Console. |
| What do I connect? | Google Search Console, once, with its own sign-in. ClawLink never sees your password. |
| What does it cost? | One tool call on your plan. Starter includes 1,000 a month. |
| Does it work? | google_search_console_search_analytics_query succeeded on 99.6% of 520 calls on ClawLink in the last 30 days. |
| Which agents? | OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude, Codex, ChatGPT and any MCP client connected to ClawLink. |
How do you try it?
- Set up ClawLink once. Add it to your agent from the install page, then connect Google Search Console.
- Send this prompt to your agent. Click the card to copy it.
It works the same in OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude and Codex.
How does the agent do it?
The agent makes one call through ClawLink. You do not pick the tools: the agent finds them by searching ClawLink, reads their input schema and runs them.
| Step | Tool | What it does | Calls in 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | google_search_console_search_analytics_query | Runs a Search Analytics query by query, page, country or date. | 520 (99.6% ok) |
How often does this work on ClawLink?
We do not publish a sample run for this job: its output is somebody's own Google Search Console. Instead, here is how the same tools performed for every ClawLink user from 2026-09-03 to 2026-10-03. A call counts as failed only when it reached Google Search Console and came back with an error.
| Tool | Calls | Users | Succeeded | Average time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
google_search_console_search_analytics_query | 520 | 13 | 99.6% | 2.0 s |
How do you write the prompt?
- Use the exact property. A domain property is written sc-domain:example.com; a URL property is the full https:// URL.
- Ask for movers. "Compare with the previous 28 days" shows what grew and what dropped.
- Ask for pages too. "Which page ranks for each" tells you what to improve.
What can go wrong?
- The property format. example.com alone fails; Search Console wants sc-domain:example.com or the full URL prefix.
- Recent days are incomplete. The last two or three days fill in late. Use a window that ends three days ago.
- Anonymized queries. Google hides rare queries, so totals by query add up to less than the site total.
How does this compare with other ways to do it?
| Option | How it works | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ClawLink + your agent | One prompt, a table | 1 tool call on your plan | Quick checks and weekly reports |
| Search Console UI | Performance report | Free | Deep filtering |
| Looker Studio | A dashboard | Free | Shared recurring reports |
